Replenishment Batch

On the Replen. Worksheet Batch page you can specify whether the replenishment is to be run automatically or manually. The default Run Frequency is set to Run Manually, but it is possible to specify a certain date if it is to be run only once, or you can specify that the Replenishment calculation is to be run daily or on weekdays only.

To run the replenishment automatically, you can either select Replenishment Automatic Run in the LS Retail – Replenishment menu or create a Scheduler Job in the LS Retail – Scheduler menu.

The Replenishment Batch record is always connected to a Replenishment Template. One Replenishment Template can have multiple Replenishment Batch records.

It is important to specify the Buyer ID and/or Buyer Group Code if the customer wants to be able use the Buyer’s Workbench.

The Run Frequency FastTab specifies the execution frequency of Replenishment Batch records.

Run Manually: a batch which the buyer executes as needed and is not executed in a Scheduler Job.

Specific Day: the batch is executed only once on the specified date or after the date.

Daily: the batch will be executed daily. It is also possible to specify weekdays the system should exclude.

Weekdays Only: the batch will be executed on weekdays. It is also possible to specify weekdays the system should exclude.

Note: It is very common that retailers replenish their stores on specific weekdays. For example, stores in region A are replenished on Monday and Wednesday and stores in region B are replenished on Tuesday and Friday.

This can be accomplished by two Replenishment Journals and two Store Groups for the regions A and B.

The first Replenishment Journal has a Template which filters on the Store Group for region A. The second Journal uses the Template for region B.

The first Replenishment Journal has a Batch which allows the calculation only on Monday and Wednesday. The second Journal has a batch for the other days.

By using this concept, the Replenishment Journals are only calculated for the relevant stores on the needed days.

Scheduler Job

Batch Jobs can be executed by a Scheduler Job. In the Demo Data there is an example of a Scheduler Job (REPLEN-RUN) that can be used to execute the Replenishment Batch Jobs.
