Deals
A Deal in LS Nav is a selection of items sold for a specific deal price. A deal is connected to a button on the POS.
You set up a deal by selecting at least one of the following for the deal lines:
- items
- PLU menus
- deal modifiers
Deals can have attributes. You can use attributes for deals to select deals into POS Dynamic Menus. POS dynamic menus use attributes for sorting. You can assign sorting attributes to deals for this purpose.
Open the Deals page, select a line and click Edit.
In this example a 9 inch pizza and a drink is sold for 7.50. Deals are mainly used with the Hospitality System. Information about deals and deal modifiers can be found in the Deal Modifier Quick Guide.
Deals, as well as Promotions, have the highest priority within the offers. More details on priorities can be found in a special section on priorities.
Note: Deal modifier items must have distribution in the store or restaurant they are used in to appear on the deal modifier pop-up screen. If there is no distribution in the company, all deal modifiers are displayed. If there are no deal modifier items within the store's distribution for a deal that has been pressed on the POS, and there are no other items in the deal, a message appears stating this fact. The deal is then not valid in the store.
When you enable a deal with deal modifiers, the program checks whether there are stores that have no deal modifier items in distribution. If there are such stores, the program displays a message stating which stores have no deal modifiers in distribution. You can press Deal Mod. Item Distribution on the Deal page to view the item distribution for all the deal modifier items within the deal.
