LS Recommend
LS Recommend is developed by LS Retail and consists of a cloud-based product recommendation engine and additional functionality in LS Central for setup, data upload, and for utilizing the calculated recommendations. LS Insight is used as data hub to store the uploaded sales history.
LS Recommend is a pure SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that is hosted and maintained by LS Retail. Customers pay for the consumption of the service in monthly intervals.
LS Recommend provides item-based recommendations that can be displayed in the LS Central POS or printed on the slip. It also provides recommendations for eCommerce solutions via the LS Commerce service. A recommendation request is a web service call which sends the current items from the shopping basket and retrieves meaningful product recommendations in return.
The recommendation engine is based on items, POS terminals, and sales history. The sales history includes Trans. Sales Lines, Sales Invoice Lines, and Sales Credit Memo Lines.
Recommendation models are calculated by the LS Recommend cloud engine and the calculated model is loaded into Model Readers. The Model Readers are hosted by LS Retail and are the endpoints from where the POS Terminals or eCommerce solutions retrieve product recommendations. A single Model Reader is capable of handling parallel recommendation requests from approximately 140 POS Terminals. One Model Reader is included in the LS Recommend Base license, customers can add more Model Readers upon request.
