Assigning Items to Stores to Replenish Automatically
To use LS Replenishment you must define which items and stores to replenish and which methods and parameters should be used. It is essential that this information is properly organized and defined.
First, you must decide which stores should be considered in Automatic Replenishment and then which items to replenish. Second, you select the replenishment calculation method and parameters.
There are two methods of defining which items should be automatically replenished:
- by Item Category/Grade
- by Store Groups
The system can only use one method at a time and this is defined in the Store Items Ranged By field in Replenishment Setup.
Item-Store relation method
The following table lists three approaches for the two methods of setting up the Item-Store relation.

Item validity
There are some factors that can make an item invalid for Automatic Replenishment:
-
Item Blocked
If the field Blocked is active in the Item record, the item is not considered in Automatic Replenishment.
-
Item Status for Purchase Orders / Transfer Orders (PO/TO)
The Item Status table defines the status of the item regarding blocking Purchase Orders and/or Transfer Orders. If an item is blocked for an order type, the item is invalid for that Replenishment Journal job.
Note: The Replenishment Item Quantity calculation batch job does not create a record in the Replen. Item Quantity table if the item is blocked for both Purchase and Transfer Orders.
However, a record is created if only one of the two is blocked. At the time of populating the Replenishing Journals the item that is blocked for that type of Replenishment Journal will not be added to the journal; for example, if it is blocked for a Transfer Order and the journal is a Transfer Order Journal. -
Exclude from Autom. Replenishm. from Item, Item Store or Data Profile records
The fields Not Active for Replenishment and Exclude from Autom. Replenishm. make an item invalid for Automatic Replenishment. These fields can be set in Item, Item Store, or Data Profile records.
