Deposit Policy

The Hotels deposit policy feature allows users to configure how to handle prepayments towards reservation charges.

To create a new Deposit Policy

The deposit policies are then applied through the rate code in Rate Configuration. To see the deposit dues for a reservation, from the Hotel Reservation Card, go to the Related menu, then Policies, and click the Deposit action.

To create a new Deposit Policy

1. From the Hotel Back Office Role Center's Navigation menu, click Rate Management.
2. From the Navigation bar, select Deposit Policy.
3. Click the New action, and fill in the fields.

Policy FastTab

Field	Description
Deposit Code	Unique ID reference for the deposit policy.
Description	Description of the deposit policy.
Deposit Calculation Type	Select the functionality behind the deposit policy. Available selections are: Percentage - In case you need to set a deposit percentage (%) based on the reservation amount. Amount - If you need to set a fixed deposit amount.
Deposit %	Deposit percentage based on the reservation amount.
Deposit Amount	Fixed deposit amount.
Days Before Arrival	Number of days before arrival when a deposit should be paid, otherwise the deposit will be marked as Due.
