The reservation type lets you control what is visible on the Reservation Card, which also has settings on functionality regarding activity integration.

- From the Hotel Back Office Role Center's Navigation menu, click Hotel Setup.
- From the Navigation bar, select Reservation Types.
- Click the New action, and fill in the fields.
General FastTab

| Show Activities | If turned on, this field shows you the Activity FastTab on the Reservation Card. If turned off, the Activity FastTab is not displayed on the Reservation Card. |
| Show Comments | If turned on, the Comments FastTab is displayed on the Reservation Card. If turned off, the Comments FastTab is not displayed on the Reservation Card. |
| Activity Reservation Type | For every Hotel Reservation there is an Activity Reservation, this is done for seamless integration with the Activity module. Here you select the reservation type for that Activity Reservation. |
| Activity Draft Status | Used when PMS changes activity status back to Draft. If the system cannot confirm an activity when doing a related action, for example like changing dates, this is the status the activity will get. |
| Activity Confirmation | Specifies if draft activities should be automatically confirmed at closing the Hotel Reservation Card. |
Using Activities for Hotels
In Hotels you can book activities directly from a reservation. The user who is working with the reservation must be set up as an Activity User to create activities from Hotels.
To set up Activities for reservations
- Click the
icon, enter Hotel Reservation Types, and select the relevant link. - In the Hotel Reservation Types list, select the reservation type, and click the Edit action.
- In the Hotel Reservation Type Card, select the Show Activities check box.
- Select the Activity Reservation Type that will be used when you create activities from Hotels.
Note: The Activity Reservation Type used must have the Deposit Options as On Reservation for deposits and activities that are included in the package to flow correctly between Bookings and Hotels.
