How to: Search for Customers

You can find clients by their SSN , or by name if the client already exists as a Pharmacy Customer. If the customer has any prescriptions that have been approved or are in process, the prescriptions will appear on the Open Prescription Orders FastTab on the Customer Service page.

To search for customers in the POS

The system will automatically find the client, but only if the client exists in the National Registry. The customer's name will appear on the right.

To find a client by SSN

  1. Click Customer Service on the Role Center's Actions menu.
  2. Type the customer's SSN in the Customer ID field on the Customer Information FastTab, and press Enter.
  3. The customer's name will appear in the Customer Name field on the right.

To find a client by name

  1. Click Customer Service on the Role Center's Actions menu.
  2. Type a part of the customer's name, full name, or SSN, and press Enter.
    If you typed the name, the Pharmacy Customer Search List page opens where you select the customer. If you typed a correct SSN, the customer's name will appear in the Customer Name field.
  3. Select the customer, and click OK.

To find a client by SSN in the POS

  1. Log into the POS.
  2. Select Customer Service in the sales menu.
  3. In LS Central, insert the customer's SSN in the Identify prescription owner field in the Customer Information FastTab, and press Enter. Note: The identification type is set to Customer by default.
  4. The customer's name appears in the top left corner, and in the middle of the current view.

To find a client by name in the POS

  1. Log in to the POS.
  2. Select Customer Service in the sales menu.
  3. Type a part of the customer's name, the full name, or the SSN, in the Identify prescription owner field, and press Enter.

If you type the customer's name, the Pharmacy Customer Search List page opens, where you select the customer. If you type a correct SSN, the customer's name appears in the current view.
