From the Role Center's Actions menu as well as from the Reservation Card's or Reservation List's Home menu, you can click the Matrix action to view availability based on resources.
By default, the matrix displays all resources in the selected location. You can, however, create matrix templates for default matrix views, or set filters on the Matrix page itself.
The tables below list the functions that are available in the matrix:

| Clicking on an activity cell | Opens the Activity or Reservation Card (depending on setup in the matrix template) |
| Clicking on an empty cell (or cell space) | Opens a list of activity products that the resource can perform and starts the process of creating a new activity. Note: After the activity has been created, a notification will be displayed at top of the page where the user can open the related reservation card as well. |
| Drag and Drop |
The user can drag either appointment or unavailability registration from one time to another, that is moving to another time and/or another resource. Unavailability cannot be moved to another resource. Note: If you drag and drop an activity onto another activity which is assigned on another resource, the system assumes the user wants to swap resources and will prompt the user before actually doing the swapping. (Javascript framework only). |

By hovering the mouse over a cell the user will be shown information text related to the specific activity. Note: The contents of this hovering area can be completely defined by the user or consultant in the template setup. |
Functions (Javascript framework only)

| Drilldown prompt (Upper left) | This drill-down prompt lets the user select a template to view. When set in WeekView, the prompt allows the user to select resource to view. |
| Interval | The intervals are set according to the interval type on the template. If the interval type is blank, the matrix will display +/- above the intervals where the user can change the minutes of interval, based on 5-10-15-30-60 minutes. |
| Date Prompt area | Here the user can scroll days back and forth, or open the calendar selector. Use the Down arrow to select TODAY. |
| Resource Cell | By clicking in the resource cell, a drop-down menu appears where the user can select to view unavailability, activities, reservations, and capacity settings of the resource for editing or viewing. Note: Here you can also change the matrix to Weekview for the specific resource. |
| Interval Cell | By clicking in the interval cell, a drop-down menu appears where the user can select to view activities or reservations in list format for the specific date and time. |
Actions on the Home menu (POS framework only - early versions)

Note: You can set up and define templates with the resource group filtering, which you can then manually select in the matrix view, or you can set the templates to automatically be default views according to reservation type or activity type settings.
