How to: Find Out Estimated Waiting Time for Tables
It is important for your customers to know approximately how long they will have to wait for a table. The Dining Table Allocation panel contains a statistics button that opens up a panel showing estimated waiting time per table capacity types.
To view the Dining Area Statistics panel
- Press the Statistics button.
The panel shows capacity per table.
- Wait Listing -
- the number of free tables, if any.
- estimated waiting time, if there are no free tables.
- Fully Booked, if each table is either occupied with a reservation or a waiting list entry, or free with a reservation or a waiting list entry.
- Wait Listings - the number of unallocated waiting list entries for this table capacity.
- Next Table - shows which table will be free next (if all are occupied).
- Total Tables - the total number of tables with this table capacity.
Example
Capacity | Wait Listing | Wait Listings (unallocated) | Next Table | Total Tables |
---|---|---|---|---|
2 | Wait Time: 20 | 5 | 1W | 12 |
4 | Fully Booked | 6 | 8 | |
6 | Wait Time: 30 | 2 | 12W | 4 |
8 | 2 Free Tables | 0 | 2 |
The next table of capacity 2 that is free is 1W. The table is occupied but estimated to be free in 20 minutes.
Tables of capacity 4 are all fully booked. There are already 6 waiting list entries for these tables.
The next table of capacity 6 is 12W. It is occupied, but estimated to be free in 30 minutes.
There are 2 tables free with capacity 8.
In case of a guest party of 4, the host has the choice of allocating table 12W to them, telling them that they would have to wait 30 minutes. Or the host can give them a table of capacity 8.
