How to: Assign Multiple Next Stations to a Display Station
The routing setup in the Section Display Station Mappings list offers the possibility to have more than one Next Stations in line for a Display Station. This also applies, if there is only one Next Station for the Display Station.
Here is an example of a routing of items which can be routed to different stations depending on the Sales Type (Hospitality Type).
The example uses the LS Central demo data.
A diagram of the Display Stations setup:
Items with Sales Type COUNTER will be routed to stations GRILL 2, FRYER, ASSEMBLY, DI-EXPEDITOR and CFD-READY.
All other items are routed to the other stations.
The FRYER and ASSEMBLY stations must have two Expeditor stations as Next Stations in line for the order to be correctly bumped between stations, and corresponding styles correctly set.
In the Section Display Station Mappings list there needs to be a specific line for each Next Station, if there are to be more than one Next Display Station for a Display Station.
Note: The COLD and FRYER stations are not used in this example.
For more information on routing see definition for table KDS Sect. Displ. Stat. Mapping or Mapping of Production Sections for information on setting up routing.
