Setting up kitchen printing in Hospitality is similar to setting up POS printing.
Note:
- Use the Hardware Station to communicate with the printers. The KDS will send the KOTs to the Hardware Station for printing.
We recommend using OPOS print drivers so the KDS will get the correct statuses from the HWS (paper out, cover open, and so on). - It is not possible to use OPOS drivers directly with the External Printer setting. The Hardware Station must be used.
The reason is that the OPOS drivers are 32 bit, but the Dynamics Business Central service is 64 bit.
