For a drive-thru restaurant the staff typically enter orders on one POS, and confirm the order before the next one is taken. On another POS, the staff receive payment and may also serve the order.
For this service type, sending items to the KDS as they are added is common.
The staff members work within the Sales POS.
The POS taking orders has a Confirm Order button to switch to a new order.
The POS taking payments has a Get Next in Queue button to load the order that is next in queue into the Sales POS, ready for payment to be taken.
