How to: Create a Foreign Customer
In Pharmacies a foreign customer is identical to a pharmacy customer, except that the Customer Type is Foreign instead of General and requires some extra information.
When a new customer, who is a foreigner, is created the process is the same as for regular customers with the exception of the customer type.
To create a foreign customer through Customer Service
- Click Customer Service on the Role Center's Actions menu.
- Go to the Actions menu, and click New Customer. The New Pharmacy Customer page is displayed where you can enter information about the customer.
- Fill in the Date of Birth field, and select the appropriate value (Foreign) from the drop-down list in the Customer Type field.
- Enter the name of the customer in the Name field, and click Create Customer on the Home action menu. The customer will get an ID-number in the form of COOxxx.

Fill in the remaining fields in the General FastTab as described in the following table:
Field Description ID / Date of Birth Here you type the customer's ID, most often the customer's social security number (SSN). Date of Birth Here you select the customer's date of birth from a calendar. Customer Type Here you select the appropriate type. The value for foreign customers is FOREIGN. Name Here you type the customer's name. Address Here you type the customer's address. Post Code Here you type the customer's post code. City Here you type the customer's city. E-Mail Here you type the customer's email address, if available. Phone No. Here you type the customer's phone number. Mobile Phone No. Here you type the customer's mobile phone number.
