How to: Set Up a Pharmacy Customer

To set up a Pharmacy Customer

  1. Go to Departments - LS Retail - Pharmacy - Pharmacy Setup - Administration - Pharmacy Customer - Pharmacy Customer Setup.
    The Pharmacy Customer Setup page has the following FastTabs: General, Local Customer No., SSN Numbers, Customer Types, Pharmacy Customer Types, and Store Customer No. Range.
  2. Fill in the fields in the General FastTab as described in the following table:

    Field Description
    Allow Date of Birth From Here you specify, by selecting a date and year, a limit for the customer’s age.
    Age of Majority Here you specify the customer’s age of majority, for example 18.
  1. Fill in the fields in the Local Customer No. FastTab as described in the following table:

    Field Description
    Customer No. Format Note: This is only used if Store Customer No. Range is not used, see the Store Customer No. Range table below.

    Here you select the number format for the customer, for example No. Series.

    Customer No. Series Here you select the number series to be used, if no series has been selected before.
    Validate Customer No. Here you select the method of validation for the customer number.

    The options are:

    • Standard
    • External
  1. Fill in the fields in the SSN Numbers. FastTab as described in the following table:

    Field Description
    SSN Source Select this check box, if you want the format and length of the social security number (SSN) to be validated.
    SSN No. Format Here you select the format for the SSN, for example DDMMYY.
    SSN Length Here you define the length of the social security number. For example, if the length is specified as 10, the number can only be exactly 10 digits, no more, no less.
  1. Fill in the fields in the Customer Types FastTab as described in the following table. See the Pharmacy Customer Types table below for explanations of the types.

    Field Description
    Standard Customer Type Here you specify what kind of customer is Standard. For example, the customer type GENERAL, would be considered as a standard customer type.
    EES Customer Type Here you specify what customer type should be used for the EU/EES, for example EES.
    Nordic Customer Type Here you specify what customer type should be used for Nordic customers, for example NORDIC.
    Foreign Customer Type Here you specify whatcustomer type should be for foreigners, for example FOREIGN.
    Foreign Customer ID A special customer ID can be made for foreigners. Foreigners do not have any insurance. For example: 9999999999 means that this is the reply when the system asks for a customer status.
  1. Fill in the fields in the Pharmacy Customer Types table as described in the following table to create a new Pharmacy Customer Type:

    Field Description
    Code Here you give the code a name, for example GENERAL.
    Description Here you write a description of the code.
    Default Type Select this check box, if the type should be the default type, for example GENERAL would be considered as a default type.
    Main Type Here you select the main type for the customer type. For example: if the pharmacy is EU/EES, the main type could be FOREIGN.
    Main Type Description The main type description appears automatically here.
  1. Fill in the fields in the Store Customer No. Range table as described in the following table:

    Field Description
    Store No. Here you select the store number that the customer number range should apply to.
    Store Name The store name appears here after being selected in the previous field.
    From No. Here you define the number from, of how many pharmacy customer can be created in the selected store with the same birth date.
    To Number Here you define the number to, of how many pharmacy customer can be created in the selected store with the same birth date.

    Note: If number series are selected in the Local Customer No. FastTab, this is not used.
