How to: Set Up Prescription Order Text Types

After Prescription Order Text Types have been made, they are used in the Pharmacy Setup. See How to: Set Up a Pharmacy, the Text Types FastTab.

Text types are used to define what kind of text type are used, for example in Pharmacy Comments or Issuer Notes on the Prescription Order Line page.

To set up prescription order text types

  1. Go to Departments - LS Retail - Pharmacy - Pharmacy Setup - Prescription - Prescription Texts - Prescription Order Text Type.
  2. Click New on the Home action menu.

  3. Fill in the fields in the table:

    Field Description
    Code Here you enter a name for the code, for example DOSE.
    Description Here you write a description of the code, for example Dose Text.
    Comments Here you can write a comment about the code, for example Dose text printed on label.
    Editable Specify whether the Prescription Order Text Type should be editable.
    Type Here you select where to the text should be applied to.

    Available options:

    • Line
    • Header
    Save Original Select this check box, if you want the original text to be saved.
    Maximum Length Here you define the maximum number of characters in the text.
    Split Text Select this check box, if you want the text to be split between lines, in case it is too long. Otherwise, it will spills over the label’s edge.
    Max Length of Part Internal use only.
    Split Text Character Internal use only.
