How to: Set Up Prescription Purpose Texts

A purpose text is printed directly on the prescription. The text comes directly from the issuer, but can also be edited in the pharmacy.

1. Go to Departments - LS Retail - Pharmacy - Pharmacy Setup - Prescription - Prescription Texts - Prescription Purpose Text.
2. Click New on the Home action menu.
3. Fill in the Code and Description fields in the table. The code can be in numbers and letters.
