Attributes on Variants

Item variants can have attributes.

This is useful when there is a large number of variants in use for items.

To link attributes to a variant

Attributes are found on the Variant Worksheet page.

1. Click the icon, enter Retail Item List, and select the relevant link.
2. Select an Item with Variant Framework, and click Manage - Edit
3. Click Master Data - Variants. The Variant Worksheet page appears.
4. Select a Variant that you wish to assign attributes.
5. Click Variants - Attributes. The Attribute Values page appears.
6. Click Refresh Autom. Linked Attributes to assign attributes with Automatic Linking.
7. If necessary (manual attributes linked to variants exist), click Link Attribute and select the attribute you want to assign to the variant from the attribute list (all attributes that have Attribute Linking set up for variants in general, or for this item specifically, or a combination of the item's division, item category and product group).
8. Also, if an attribute allows more than one instance, you can add more instances of the attribute by clicking Link Attribute.

Note: You can also link an attribute to multiple variants and assign attribute values for each variant from the Attribute Values page.
