About eCommerce for LS Central
eCommerce for LS Central is a software enhancer on top of the LS Central solution, enabling real-time eCommerce integrations in a truly unified commerce manner.
The feature set is exposed through the eCommerce API, hosted by the Commerce Server, offering a single point of entry for everything eCommerce into LS Central.
eCommerce provides unlimited flexibility when it comes to selecting an eCommerce platform. By default, the solution is offered on top of the Magento platform – offering a turnkey solution where the LS Retail extension has been developed for the Magento platform. Additionally, LS Retail has teamed up with renowned eCommerce platforms, offering readily available integrations for Avensia Storefront, Dynamicweb, and Shopify Plus.
The LS Retail eCommerce API remains open for all 3rd party eCommerce providers – enabling partners and customers to create an integration to LS Central from their eCommerce platform of choice.
Note: eCommerce builds on the Customer Order module in LS Central. We therefore recommend version 14.0 or later of LS Central, so the features of eCommerce can best be utilized. It is possible to deploy eCommerce for older versions of LS Nav/Central, but be advised that our partners will then need to downport some of the Customer Order features to the respective version.
