How to: Configure MSR Staff Link

To connect an ID to a staff member, you must use the MSR Staff Link Setup functionality.

The MSR Staff Link Setup is used, when an external device reads an ID that should be used for user logon to the POS. This can be various devices, for example a card read through an MSR reader, attached Dallas key, scanned barcode, and so on.

  1. In LS Central, go to Staff List, and open the card for one of the staff.
  2. Click Related - Staff - MSR Cards to open the MSR Card Link Setup page.
  3. Add the ID that should be attached to the user.

Depending on the device that is reading the ID, there can be other configurations that are needed for the login functionality to work. Click here for more information for each device type.
