Analysis Views for Seasonal Items
There are four Analysis Views available in the Seasons page, that provide insights into the inventory status, as well as the sales and purchases information of seasonal items. The Pivot Mode can be activated in the Analysis Views for you to look at the inventory, sales, and purchases data as an aggregated information on the item group level.
Below are the available Analysis Views:
- Season - Items
- Shows the inventory, the sales and purchases quantity, as well as the sales and purchases amount of items that are assigned to a season.
- When Pivot Mode is activated, the data can be grouped and aggregated based on season and item.
- Season - Items without Code
- Shows the inventory, the sales and purchases quantity, as well as the sales and purchases amount of items that are not assigned to any season.
- When Pivot Mode is activated, the data can be grouped and aggregated based on item group, such as division, item category, and retail product group. The data can also be grouped according to the year and month of when the item was created.
- Season - Item Groups
- Shows the inventory, the sales and purchases quantity, as well as the sales and purchases amount of items that are assigned to a season.
- When Pivot Mode is activated, the data can be grouped and aggregated based on season and item group, such as division, item category, and retail product group.
- Season - Special Groups
- This Analysis View is built for those items that are assigned to a season, and the season is assigned with a Special Group.
- Shows the inventory, the sales and purchases quantity, as well as the sales and purchases amount of the items.
- When Pivot Mode is activated, the data can be grouped and aggregated based on season and item group, such as special group, division, item category, and retail product group.
Charts for Seasonal Items
LS Central comes with a Season Items page which shows all the items that are assigned to a particular season. To access this page:
- Click the icon, enter Seasons, and select the relevant link.
- In the Seasons page, select an existing Season, and click Items - Items to view the items assigned to the selected season.
The Season Items page's FactBox shows a collection of charts, to provide graphical overviews of the selected item's inventory movement and sales development:
- Inventory Chart
Shows the item’s inventory values calculated over a time period based on the item's Lifecycle Starting Date or its season's Starting Date, until the current day. The chart quantities do not include the item sales that have not been included in a posted statement. - Item Sales Chart
Shows the item's sales quantities calculated over a time period based on the item's Lifecycle Starting Date or its season's Starting Date, until the current day. The sales values include sales that are included in statements that have not been posted. - Lifecycle Curve Chart
Describes a product's sales behavior or sales pattern by showing the % Share of the sales within the specified period of the item's lifecycle curve. - Lifecycle Curve Chart (Aggregated)
Describes a product's sales behavior or sales pattern in an aggregated view by showing the aggregated % Share of the sales within the specified period of the item's lifecycle curve.
The Show Sales Chart action in the Season Items page opens the Replenishment Sales Chart for the selected item, and provides a graphical overview of the item's sales pattern and inventory movement over a specified period of time. For certain calculation types, it also provides an estimated demand forecast. For more information, see Replenishment Sales Chart.
Sale by Season Code Report
The Sale by Season Code report shows the sales quantity, sales amount, profit amount, profit %, and the stock on hand of seasonal items, grouped by their respective Season Code. To use the report:
- Click the icon, enter Sale - Seasons, and select the relevant link.
- In the Filter: Season FastTab, you can filter by the Season fields. The default filter fields are: Code, Starting Date, and Ending Date.
- In the Filter: Item FastTab, you can filter by the Item fields.
- Click Print or Preview & Close.
