Attributes can be used as dining preferences requested by the customers or members. They can be registered at certain times during the dining service:

  • When taking the dining reservation, either in the Reservation Desk, through Activity (Comment only), or in the Dining Allocation panel.
  • When guests have been seated at a dining table.
  • In the Sales POS when the orders are put in.

Attribute Entries

The dining attributes are stored in the Attribute POS Trans. Entry table. The program creates one entry per attribute per service. Dining attributes have their own panel, the Attribute Entries panel, where they are maintained. Here you can add attributes, change them, and delete.

When the service is finished, the attributes are transferred to the Attribute Reserv. History Entry table. Click Attribute Entries to view the attributes in the Transaction Register for the posted transactions.

To register attributes as dining preferences

In the Reservation Desk

Note: The Reservation Desk panel must include the attributes that are set up as dining preferences.

  • Click the relevant attributes, and select the desired attribute values.
  • Click Confirm Changes, if you already confirmed the reservation.

The attributes are now linked to the dining reservation and the corresponding activity reservation in the Attribute POS Trans. Entry table.

Through activity when booking dining reservations

Note: The only attribute you can set when you are creating a dining reservation through activity is a text attribute that is marked as Din. Reserv. Special Request.

  • Enter text in the Comment field in an activity reservation.

The program updates the Special Request field in the Dining Reservation Entry table and creates an Attribute POS Trans. Entry for the Din. Reserv. Special Request attribute linked to the dining reservation and the activity reservation.

In the Dining Allocation panel

  • Select the dining reservation grid column with the ATTR_SHOW_DINRESERV command. The Attribute Entries Panel opens and displays any attributes already selected. Here you can edit existing attributes or add new ones.

The program creates an Attribute POS Trans. Entry for each attribute, linked to the dining reservation and/or the activity reservation.

For guests seated at a dining table

  1. Select a dining table.
  2. In the pop-up menu, select the Preferences button (with the ATTR_SHOW_DINTBL command). The Attribute Entries Panel opens and displays any attributes already selected. Here you can edit existing attributes or add new ones.

The program creates an Attribute POS Trans. Entry for each attribute, linked to the dining table entry. It keeps the dining reservation and/or the activity reservation link, if it exists.

In the Sales POS

  • Click the Preferences web template. The Attribute Entries panel opens and displays any attributes already selected. Here you can edit existing attributes or add new ones.

The program creates an Attribute POS Trans. Entry for each attribute, linked to the POS transaction. It keeps the dining reservation and/or the activity reservation link, if it exists. Any reference to a dining table entry is deleted, the attributes are linked to the POS transaction instead.
