Dining Special Requests and Activity comments

When a dining reservation is created through an activity reservation, the activity reservation's Comment is stored in the Special Request field for the dining reservation. The program keeps these fields identical; updating Special Request for the dining reservation updates the Comment field for the linked activity reservation and vice versa.

To display Special Requests in the POS

Dining attributes have their own panel, Attribute Entries, where they are maintained. Here you can add attributes, change them, and delete.

By linking the Special Requests to a dining attribute, you can view and edit Special Requests through the Attribute Entries panel from various places:

  • From the Dining Allocation panel.
  • From the Table Overview.
  • From the Sales POS.

To link Special Requests to an attribute

  1. Click the icon, enter Attributesand select the relevant link.
  2. Click the New action to create a new attribute.
  3. Select the Dining Reserv. Special Request check box.
  4. Select Text in the Value Type field.

Note: You can only link one attribute to Special Requests.

The Preferences web template

The Preferences web template displays the attributes that are used as dining preferences and are linked to a dining reservation, a dining table service, or a POS transaction. The template can be a part of the Sales POS, and is also part of the Attribute Entries panel.
