Allocation Plan Distribute

Allocation Plan assists you in the process of creating a Purchase Order to purchase the items from the vendor to the warehouse and using Transfer Order (Cross Docking) / Sales Order (Franchise) to transfer items from the warehouse to store(s), location(s), or customer(s).

Allocation Plan comes with two methods, Allocation Plan Distribute and Allocation Plan Defined. The Allocation Plan Distribute is a top-down approach, which means that the received quantities of the destination(s) are determined by the total quantity which you want to distribute. For example, you decide to buy 500 pieces of shirts and distribute them to all the destinations evenly or based on the weight of each location defined in the allocation rule.

You need to make the following decisions:

  1. Affected Items
    Which items should be purchased and transferred from the warehouse to the destination(s)?
  2. Qty. to Distribute
    How much quantity of the affected item(s) should be purchased and distributed?
  3. Warehouse Buffer %
    How much quantity of the affected item(s) should be purchased as buffer stock? The buffer quantity will not be distributed immediately to the destination(s).
  4. Allocation Rule
    How should the quantity of the affected item(s) in the warehouse be distributed between the destinations?

To support you with the distribution of the quantity of the affected item(s) between the stores, the system provides Allocation Rules. Allocation Rules let you set up the shares between the destinations by using Store Group, Store, Location, Customer Group, and Customer as entities to put weights. The shares can be set up manually or calculated by the system.

For items with variants which have weights defined, the distribution of the quantities between individual variants for each destination is determined by the Variant Weight specified in the Variant Framework.

To open the Allocation Plan Distribute page

  1. Click the icon, enter Allocation Plan List, and select the relevant link.
  2. Select an Allocation Plan of the Process Type Distribute, and click Navigate - Allocation Plan - Edit to open an existing plan, or click New to create a new one.
