Dining Table Allocation

When your restaurant is busy, allocating tables in an efficient way maximizes the restaurant's dining tables turn-time and increases the revenue of the restaurant.

Note: You can create dining reservations using the Bookings add-on. Walk-ins, that is customers who are assigned a table without having a booking, are still created directly in the Allocation panel.

Dining Table Allocation in Hospitality lets you

quote waiting times accurately.
open or close down dining area sections on a day-to-day basis.
let your guests know when their table is ready.
manage walk-ins via waiting list.
quickly seat guests at an available table.
generate a good overview of when tables will be ready.
generate statistics on the restaurant's current load
stay in allocation mode until the capacity of the allocated tables is enough for the requested number of guests.
filter by minimum and maximum capacity and by dining area section and status.
easily change and cancel allocation.
allocate combined dining tables.
allocate in one go all reservation entries for a day or a dining period.
control which dining tables and combined dining tables are allocated first (dining table allocation ranking).

The dining table allocation is managed in The Dining Table Allocation Panel. Here you can toggle between three views (or just pick the one you would like to use):

Timeline view (default) – see the dining tables in a matrix showing table status for a specific time interval during a day.
Graphical view – see the graphical layout of dining tables and their status at the start of the selected time range.
List view – see a list of dining tables, with status at the start of the selected time range.

Here you can scroll across time periods and view your future reservations and dining table allocations.
