How to: Start Virtual Station to Use With POS

In order to use the Virtual Station, the Hardware Station must be already installed and running.

To set up a virtual station for the POS you must follow these instructions:

  1. Start the program LSVirtualStation.exe as Administrator.
    The program is usually located in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\LS Retail\LSHardwareStation
  2. In a web browser, open the Hardware Station Management Portal at this address: http://localhost:8088
  3. Click Login.
  4. Select the Server Config option in the upper left corner.
  5. Select the Load Virtual Station check box.
  6. Click Load.
  7. Click the Reload Devices button in the Device List to the left. The device types that have a virtual device available should now have one more device in the list.

To be able to use virtual devices in the POS, you must add them to the Hardware Profile through the Detect Hardware operation.
