Selection Phase

The selection phase is the first step of the Item Suggestion functionality. The selection phase is essential to identify the items you want to analyze, based on the predefined filters and thresholds. You might want to apply different filters and thresholds to different groups of items. The Item Selection Templates hold these parameters and allow you to create and maintain multiple templates. Refer to Item Selection Template for more details.

The Item Suggestion Worksheet is the main working page, where you can run the LSC Forecast Item Selection report using the Suggest Items action. By default, the filters and thresholds are prepopulated, based on the selected Item Selection Template, and it is possible to change the parameters before the execution. This report will first clear the worksheet and then add items that fulfill all criteria to the worksheet. Following the selection process, the report calculates metrics and ratings for all items which is part of the Rating Phase.

You can execute the LSC Forecast Item Selection report manually or via Scheduler Job, using the job LSFC-ITEMSUGGESTION, created by default. This job can be run in parallel processing mode. When you set the Boolean field as True, the execution will be split between two parallel jobs.
