Authentication Device
The Authentication device - otherwise known as a Keylock device - can represent a variety of devices as long as they have an OPOS driver of the type Keylock. This includes, but is not limited to, a keylock device, OPOS Dallas key (a Dallas key can also be a serial device), and a fingerprinting device.

To use this device in LS Central the device needs to be added to the Hardware Profile. You can add the device automatically through the Detect Hardware functionality on the Hardware Profile. | |
You can configure the functionality of the Authentication Device in the POS Authentication Device card in LS Central. When the device is added automatically through the Hardware Profile all configurations are set with default values. | |
To connect this device to a staff member in LS Central, a MSR Staff Link needs to be created. | |
